Macro lens modification

I absolutely love my macro lens, but, at larger magnification, consistently making small enough steps with the focus ring in order to capture focus stacks can be a bit challenging. So I made a very simple device which is attached to the lens and which has a small wheel attached to it via a bearing. Some rope is wired around both the focus ring and the small wheel, which makes it possible to move the focus ring in small steps with greater accuracy by rotating the small wheel, while still being able to use the focusing ring directly when needed. It's not pretty, but it works like a charm!
