Glitter paths are the reflections of a light source on a surface, with the surface often being water.

The moon reflected in water. In this case the glitter path lies off-centre compared to the position of the moon, an effect which is caused by the wind (2013-09-24)

The rising moon reflected in water (2014-03-25)

The sun reflected in water (2015-01-25)
