Glitter paths are the reflections of a light source on a surface, with the surface often being water.

The moon reflected in water. The long exposure combined with relatively calm water resulted in this lissajous-like pattern. (2013-05-18)

The moon reflected in water. In this case the glitter path lies off-centre compared to the position of the moon, an effect which is caused by the wind. (2013-09-24)
