⟪⟪    Mirages    ⟫⟫

 

Mirages occur when layers of air of different temperatures are on top of each other, which bends the light rays that are going through them. A superior mirage means the mirage is on top of the original object, whereas an inferior mirage means the mirage is below the original object.
