Prints
Although making prints has never been and never will be the main goal for me, it is a lot of fun to do, and seeing a photo on paper is without doubt a different experience than seeing it on a screen. Throughout the years I have sold a whole bunch of prints and it is always a great compliment for me when someone buys a print from me, even though I prefer to keep this a small-scale thing. Another fun part of making prints is exhibitions, which I occasionally participate in. Especially exhibitions of insect photos is something I really enjoy, since it is interesting to see people's reactions when seeing all the details and colors of the small models on the prints.
I print my prints on my own Canon PIXMA Pro-1 printer and, after a lot of testing, I narrowed the paper down to Canson photo paper, which I use excusively and am very happy with. I handcut the mattes myself, but prefer to leave the frame decision to the buyer.
